Live ski conditions for your own website.

Before a ski day people check the avalanche bulletin, the new snow and the wind, usually on three different sites. This puts all of it in one card on your page, scored into a single verdict with the reasons shown. Paste one snippet and it rebuilds itself twice a day.

Live conditions score

Today’s Go/No-Go score for your location, or the full seven day forecast. Your choice of three layouts.

Data
Our conditions engine, rebuilt twice a day from Open-Meteo, USGS, NWS and avalanche.org

What it shows

  • The avalanche danger rating from the regional forecast center, where one covers you
  • Fresh snow, the other reading the score weighs most
  • Temperature, wind and visibility, all scored, with the two that matter most today named on the card
  • A seven day outlook, or a one-line badge for a sidebar

Who puts it up

Ski and nordic clubs, touring and hut organisations, lodges and rentals at the base, and ski schools.

You do not need a listing with Ski Hubs to use it. If you have one, making it yours is free and lets you fix what visitors see when they click through.

Where to paste it

Squarespace

Edit the page, add a block, choose Code, and paste the snippet in. Leave the block set to HTML.

Wix

Add → Embed Code → Embed HTML, then paste the snippet into the Code box.

WordPress

Add a Custom HTML block and paste it in. In the classic editor, switch to the Text tab first.

Anywhere else, the rule is the same: it goes wherever your editor accepts raw HTML. Paste the whole snippet, including the plain link, which is the part that keeps working if the script is ever blocked.

Questions

Before you paste

No. The avalanche rating comes from the regional forecast center and the score repeats it, but it is a summary, not a forecast of your slope. Read the full avalanche bulletin before any backcountry trip.

Then the card never reports the terrain as safe. The score leans on snow, wind, temperature and visibility instead.

It is free, with no account, no API key and no limit on how many people load it. The catch, stated plainly: the snippet includes a visible link back to us, and that link is what the widget costs you. If you would rather not link out, do not use it.

No on both. The script is about 14KB, loads asynchronously so it never blocks your page, and pulls no fonts, frameworks or tracking. It draws inside a shadow root, which is a sealed boundary: your CSS cannot reach in and its CSS cannot leak out.

No. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on the device and sends us no identifiers. It asks for one location’s data and renders the answer.

One more step

Widget on your site?
Make the listing it points at yours.

Getting listed is free and takes about two minutes. It lets you fix the photos, hours and details visitors see when they click through from your own website.
